THE MILLVILLE INSURANCE CHEMO SHIRT FUND

A simple shirt can make a hard day a little easier.

When breast cancer touched someone close to the Millville family in 2025, our agents, friends, and community members generously contributed to the effort. Millville added a company contribution, and through our partnership with the Geisinger Health Foundation, that shared support led to the establishment of the Millville Insurance Chemo Shirt Fund. The effort began at the Knapper Clinic, one of Geisinger Medical Center’s largest oncology locations.

Through the fund, specially designed shirts are made available to patients receiving infusion treatments. Their zippered openings give care teams easier access to a patient’s port and help maintain sterility during port access. By allowing patients to stay covered, warm, and comfortable, the shirts can also help preserve patient dignity and provide emotional comfort during treatment. The goal is to expand access to infusion shirts at other treatment centers throughout the Geisinger network.

Now, we’re continuing what we started. Each gift helps keep shirts available for future patients, offering greater comfort, dignity, and ease during treatment.
